ARCHIVE DIVISION 01 / TOPOGRAPHY

The World Beneath

The city has two histories. One is printed, mapped, and taught. The other is hungry and learning how to be seen.
DEGRADING

The Veil

Not a wall, but a habit of perception. It persuades the living to misremember wings as scaffolding, screams as train brakes, and miracles as clerical errors.

The City Above

People work, study, love, investigate, steal, worship, and disappear. Their routines hold reality together more reliably than any ritual.

The World Below

Old courts meet beneath parking structures. Spirits cross municipal networks. Blood changes hands in climate-controlled vaults. The dead wait at red lights.

The Old Powers

They were not defeated. They were translated into saints, symptoms, folktales, code, weather, and names no one says correctly.

IMMINENT

The Coming Fracture

The Veil is failing unevenly. Machines dream. Gods receive prayers from empty rooms. Something beneath Saint Orison has begun broadcasting.

Choice Has Consequences

Ambition creates rivals. Loyalty creates leverage. Every investigation opens another door, and no door closes without taking something with it.
