Mara first noticed the missing hour at Saint Orison Station. Every clock skipped from 02:13 to 03:14; her notebook did not. Since then, she has catalogued absences: doors that no longer lead anywhere, names cut from family trees, and bodies whose shadows arrive late. The Office recruited her after she identified a dead official at his own press conference. Her continued survival is considered useful evidence.
